During fiscal year 2016, through the dedication of 189 volunteer Advocates, CASA served 583 children navigating the child welfare system in Denton. Investing $1,500 per child was the small cost of providing life-changing services for children who have been abused or neglected. As part of the Evening of Elegance, CASA provides supporters the opportunity to “Fund-A-Child” through unrestricted gifts. The contributions raised through this initiative will provide CASA services for each child funded for one year.
The CASA Fund-A-Child initiative is a way for anyone to help CASA meet the demand for services and ensure that every child abused or neglected in Denton County has a voice to speak for them in court.
Since its inception in 2007, the Fund-A-Child initiative has raised more than $89,000 toward direct services for children in Denton County. As CASA celebrates the 19th annual Evening of Elegance, we need your help to provide the proven benefits of CASA advocacy to more children in need. Please join us in making this year’s “Fund-A-Child” the best yet!
